Health seeking behaviour and its socio-demographic determinants among menopausal women in Lucknow

Background: Menopausal women are those who have not experienced regular menstrual bleeding for 12 months or more. It is a physiological event, but its psychological, physical and sexual consequences will prevail throughout post-reproductive years. Some silently suffering without knowing what happening to their own body they don’t know about where get help. Aim of the study was estimate health seeking behaviour among menopausal in Lucknow find association Health Seeking with various socio-demographic parameters.Methods: A community based cross sectional conducted from August 2020 January 2021, 206 46-65 years rural urban field practice areas Community Medicine Department, KGMU, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.Results: (42.7%) total participants went facility menopause related symptoms. (14.6%) had heard HRT (1%) were current user HRT. (43%) responded that be fine time, (29%) didn’t need go facility, (21.8%) financial constrains. Literacy, residential status category found significantly associated women.Conclusions: Poor observed Majority them other common reason going aware symptoms, think facility.
